Özet  Gas turbines are critical to the operation of most industrial plants, and their associated maintenance costs can be extremely high. Recently, the power industry has moved sharply toward condition-based maintenance and monitoring. In this approach, intelligent computerized systems monitor gas turbines to establish maintenance needs based on the turbine's condition rather than on a fixed number of operating hours. This significantly cuts costs and improves performance by using control-system information to perform gas turbine condition monitoring. In this study, the real operational and maintenance data have been obtained for one whole year from the gas turbines in Jeddah Third Power Plant. The data includes inlet/outlet temperatures and pressures of the compressor and turbine, the fuel consumption calculated values of airflow rate based on the data. Analysis of the data at various different power levels has shown the effect of maintenance procedures on different parameters. This paper suggests a technique to extract useful information hidden inside the data in different maintenance procedures by using data mining techniques. This information may be employed as virtual sensors on the real time data after learning from the past data.
